Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED: 25 AUGUST 2026

Who we are

Bella Casa Co. ("we", "us", "our") provides residential renovation services across Melbourne. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of quoting and delivering renovation work, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), regardless of whether that Act formally applies to a business of our size.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Your full name, phone number, email address, and the type of project you are enquiring about, when you submit our contact form or estimate quiz
  • Details you provide by phone, email, or in person during a consultation, such as your address, project scope, and budget
  • Basic technical information collected automatically by any website, such as your browser type and general location inferred from your IP address, via standard web server logs

We do not collect payment card details, government identification numbers, or health information through this website. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act unless you volunteer it to us directly, for example if it becomes relevant to a home access requirement.

Why we collect it

We collect personal information for the specific purpose of responding to your enquiry, arranging a consultation, preparing a fixed-price quote, and delivering renovation services if you engage us. We do not collect information for unrelated purposes, and we do not use it to build a marketing profile.

How we use it

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, schedule a consultation, prepare a quote, and, if you become a client, to manage your renovation project and any warranty or after-care follow-up. We do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell or rent your information to any third party.

Who we share it with

We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share limited details, such as your address and project scope, with subcontractors or trades directly engaged on your project, strictly as needed to carry out the work you have asked us to quote or complete. We may also disclose information if required to by law, for example in response to a valid legal request. We use Google Analytics on this website, which may process data on servers located outside Australia; beyond this, we do not currently send personal information to recipients located outside Australia.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Enquiry and client information is stored in the email, phone, and record-keeping systems we use to run the business, protected by standard account security measures such as passwords. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not treat that as a reason to collect more than we need.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not proceed to a booked project, we retain your details for a reasonable period in case you follow up, and delete or de-identify them if there has been no contact for an extended period. If you become a client, we retain project-related records for as long as reasonably necessary for warranty, insurance, and standard business or tax record-keeping obligations.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors found us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visit. This information is used in aggregate to improve the website and is not used to personally identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us at any time to see what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to have it deleted, by contacting us at info@bellacasaco.com.au. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe. In some cases, such as active project or financial records, we may need to retain certain information to meet our own legal obligations even after a deletion request.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at info@bellacasaco.com.au so we can try to resolve it directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or to relevant law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Continued use of this website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
